See our adoptable kitties on display in the new Petsmart storeSonora's new Petsmart store (near WalMart in the Crossroads Shopping Center) features a deluxe adoption center with a terrific selection of adoptable cats and kittens from Sonora Cat Rescue on display all open store hours. You can adopt your new family member and get all the supplies you'll need in one place. Come down and meet our volunteers and see the sweet kitties looking for a home.

The central mission of Sonora Cat Rescue is to stabilize and eventually reduce the abandoned cat population of Sonora and Tuolumne County.

The trap/neuter/release program has proven to be the most effective means of achieving this goal. TNR, the non-lethal method of population control, is more effective than trap and kill programs and reflects a more caring society.

Our work supports the efforts of groups such as the Humane Society and Animal Control, by helping to reduce the number of animals euthanized in shelters each year . Learn more about us.

Just born, I was thrown in a dumpster like trash. My brother died and my leg was so damaged I had emergency surgery and they amputated my leg. I am now taking my bottle every two hours and am safe with Sonora Cat Rescue. Please help with my medical bills.
